Cambelt failure can lead to major work required on your vehicle and can even cause your engine to be non-repairable.
The Cambelt is one of the hardest working parts in your engine it’s a rubber toothed belt that spins at high speeds and keeps everything synchronised.
What if I don't change it in time?
The rubber toothed belt can be snapped, cracked or torn due to a large amount of stress and strain which can cause serious damage to your engine. Depending on the level of damage this could cost you several hundred if not thousands of pounds to repair.
How often should I have my cambelt replaced?
Your Cambelt needs changing when it reaches the age or mileage limit recommend by your manufacturer. Generally speaking, this is around three years but for higher mileage drivers this may need changing sooner.
